Ondo-born chef Adeyeye Adeola also known as Chef Deo has completed her 150-hour-long cooking marathon by an individual in her attempt to break Hilda Baci’s Cook-A-Thon Guinness World Record.

The Chef continued cooking despite the initial 150hr target being met since she began her record-breaking feat on June 30th in Ondo state.

A post from Chef Deo’s official Instagram page read; “150 hours and still counting. The journey was rough but we pulled through.”

Chef Adeola’s 150hrs win is coming a few weeks after Hilda Baci was officially announced as the new Guinness World Record holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual. Baci cooked for 93 hours and 11 minutes.

It would be recalled that chef, Yewande Fasan Damilola Adeparusi popularly known as Chef Dammy recently concluded a 120-hour cooking marathon by an individual while attempting to break Hilda Baci’s record.

Guinness World Record in a statement denied receiving Dammy’s application.

It reads, “We have not received an application for this attempt. Applications can be made via the Guinness World Records website for our records management team to review.

“Once an application is accepted, the record claimant receives a set of detailed guidelines specific to that record category that must be adhered to.”

It is not clear how the Guinness World Record Organisation will interpret the latest effort by another Nigerian to break the official 93 hrs 11 minutes record set by Ms Baci.
