A video footage of the embattled 21-year-old undergraduate of the University of Lagos, (UNILAG), Ms. Chidinma Adaora Ojukwu and the late CEO of Super TV, Mr Usifo Ataga, who was gruesomely murdered recently, has surfaced online.

Chidinma had on Thursday confessed how she stabbed Ataga twice to death. The New Diplomat‘s findings reveal that Ataga’s Super TV was already set for official take-off as at the time he was allegedly murdered by his supposed lover-girl, Chidinma.

The New Diplomat had earlier reported that Chidinma, in her account said she and the deceased were in a service apartment in the Lekki Area of Lagos on June 15, 2021 when the incident happened. According to Chidinma’s side of the story, she and Ataga were in the lodge smoking and drinking before the incident.

However, in a viral footage sighted by The New Diplomat, Chidinma and Ataga were seen exiting a yet-to-be identified restaurant, hours before they both went into the service apartment.

Watch Video:

In the video, the duo were happy as Chidinma carried a takeaway pack. Although, the name of the restaurant hasn’t be verified by appropriate authorities, however, report has it that the duo were both seen at Angle Villa Restaurant located in Lekki area of Lagos State.

Similarly, more revelations about what transpired between Chidinma and Ataga are beginning to emerge.

Chidinma, in her account had stated that she and the CEO of Super TV were smoking and drinking before the incident happened.

According to reports, the drug which the duo allegedly took is Rohypnol.

Rohypnol is known to be a tranquilizer which is very potent. Users always crush the pills and snort the power, smoke it, dissolve it in a drink or inject it.

Following the revelations, many Nigerians on social media have argued that Chidinma might not be in her right state of mind when she stabbed the CEO of Super TV amid some unconfirmed reports and claims that Ataga was allegedly murdered by the 21-year-old undergraduate in connivance with some yet-to-be-identified accomplices.

However, the incident remains unclear as of press time, as the police are still conducting investigations.

Meanwhile, the operatives of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Lagos State Command have arrested Chidinma’s father, Ojukwu.

According to a top police source who spoke with the Punch, the father of the embattled 21-year-old was arrested at his residence in the Yaba area of Lagos State.

The source said the father was arrested for resisting Chidinma’s arrest and for becoming violent with policemen, who went to apprehend her.

Also, a lecturer of the UNILAG had confirmed that Chidinma is a 300-level student of the department of Mass Communication.

According to the lecturer who anonymously spoke with the Punch, Chidinma is well known for her striking beauty in her department, but said she is a recluse.

However, as of the time of this reporting, authorities in UNILAG have not yet commented on the tragic incident.
