Burna Boy, the Grammy Award winner, has blazed a new trail when he surpassed 2 billion streams as the first African artist to accomplish such a feat in the United Kingdom.

During his sold-out performance at London’s Koko Camden on Monday night, the “Twice as Tall” musician was presented with a Brit Plaque in honour of the very significant and historic occasion.

This achievement comes just weeks after Burna Boy was awarded a Brit 1 billion streams plaque at his sold-out performance at the London Stadium in June.

Speaking on the Brit 2 billion streams plaque, Burna Boy attributed his success to his relentless efforts.

His consistent headline-making performances across Europe and other parts of the world have solidified his reputation as a leading figure in Afrobeat.

Burna Boy has been playing at large concerts throughout the first half of the year, regularly selling out venues in the UK, solidifying his reputation as the “Afrobeat Ambassador” and his popularity on a global scale.
