The All Progressives Congress (APC), on Saturday, said it is set for victory at the Edo and Ondo states governorship elections with the peace moves it has initiated through its reconciliation Committees which has now strengthened the state parties.

The ruling party boasted that the Nigerian political space will be shocked as this transcends to the 2023 general elections.

The Chairman of the APC National Caretaker/National Convention Planning Committee and Governor of Yobe state, Mallam Mai Mala Buni, said at the inauguration of its reconciliation committees for Imo and Ogun states in Abuja, that he is satisfied with the support he is getting as this will bring great things to the party.APC new

Buni said, “The Caretaker committee had, shortly after its inauguration, initiated some peace building and true reconciliation mechanisms to give every member a sense of fairness and belonging.

“I am proud to say that, with the support enjoyed from members of the party, the committee has recorded remarkable headways, reclaiming some distinguished and very valuable members with thousands of their supporters back to our fold.

“I am equally fulfilled that our exploits in reconciling our members in Edo and Ondo states have strengthened the party and further expanded our chances with assurances of winning the governorship elections in the two states with landslide victories.

“Let me also add that the on-going reconciliatory initiatives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will soon shock Nigeria’s political space with the massive return of former members who felt aggrieved and unwillingly, went to other political parties,” he said.

Following the dissolution of the Adams Oshiomhole-led National Working Committee (NWC) of the party by the National Executive Committee (NEC), the Buni-led committee was constituted in June.

It was given the responsibility to reconcile all aggrieved members of the party and organise the party’s National Convention for the election of new NWC members.
