The Buhari Media Support Group (BMSG) has described the action taken by President Muhammadu Buhari to address the discovery of about N13 billion in a flat at Osbourne Road Ikoyi Lagos as a proof of his resolve to deal decisively with the issue of corruption in Nigeria.

BMSG made the observation in a statement issued today in Abuja and signed by its Protem Chairman Hon. Austin Braimoh and Secretary, Chief Cassidy Madueke.

The group said that the action which includes the suspension of the Director General of National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Ayo Oke based non allegations that the money recovered by the EFCC was purportedly kept by the agency depicts PMB’s statement when he took his oath of office that “he is for nobody but for everybody’’.

The group said that the suspensions would lead to a thorough investigation of the allegations, just as it would lend credence to the transparent war the Federal Government is waging against corruption.

BMSG also noted the immediate suspension of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Babachir Lawal based on allegations of  violating the law and abuse of due process in the award of contracts for the Presidential Initiative on North East, saying it is a right step in the right direction.
