The son of President Muhammadu Buhari, Yusuf is set to marry Zarah, the daughter of Nasir Ado Bayero, the Emir of Bichi, Kano state.

According to reports, source close to the Bichi royal palace said the two families have met to discuss the union.

It was also reported that the president’s family had gone to the family of Ado Bayero, the late Emir of Kano, to seek the marriage of Zarah, who is still in the UK studying architecture.

Although reports earlier claimed that the wedding was initially billed for the “next two to three months”, a source reportedly said both families have now agreed to “postpone the ceremony until possibly after fasting or almsgiving.”

Also, information revealed that Yusuf and Zarah met each other in the UK where the former finished his undergraduate studies.

Recall on December 27, 2017, Yusuf was involved in a ghastly power bike accident around the Gwarinpa area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, and was flown abroad for treatment.

Since the President’s son returned to Nigeria from the medical trip on March 1, 2018, he has kept a low public profile.
