Shortly after President Muhammadu Buhari arrived Nigeria after a two-week medical trip to London, he met with the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu and chairman of the party, Abdullahi Adamu last night in Abuja.

The meeting which took place in the late hours of Sunday was all about putting final finishing touches to the kick-off of the party’s presidential campaign scheduled to hold in Jos, Plateau State on Tuesday, The New Diplomat gathered.

The trio were said to have finalised how to implement campaign activities for the next year’s presidential election.

This was also confirmed in a tweet made by the Special Assistant to the President on Digital Communications, Bashir Ahmad.

“JUST IN: President Muhammadu Buhari is currently meeting with our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Chairman of great party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, ahead of the formal presidential campaign flag-off later in the week,” Ahmad tweeted.
