Sulyman Buhari, Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, faction loyal to the Senate President Bukola Saraki in Kwara State, has said that it was laughable for anyone to suggest that Saraki was no longer politically relevant.

Buhari was reacting to a claim by the faction of the party that Saraki was no longer politically relevant and should not be made any offer to remain in the APC.

Buhari said that such an opinion was from “disgruntled” politicians.

The spokesperson told Punch that the meeting between Buhari and Saraki was an indication of the political relevance of the Senate President.

“It is laughable for anyone to say that Saraki is not a political heavyweight. The media briefing is just a gathering of disgruntled politicians.

“Even those who are telling Bukola Saraki not to dump the APC know his value politically even beyond Kwara.

“If they say he is not relevant, I think they are not politically aware,” he said.
