This is coming on heels of wild speculations that May 29 handover date may be scuttled following the threats expressed in certain quarters that an Interim National Government (ING) will take over the reigns of government.

But the President said he is looking forward to returning to his town, Daura, Katsina state.

He expressed satisfaction that God has given him the grace to serve two uninterrupted terms of four years each as President, adding that he looks forward to an orderly handover.

“I thank God for what He has done for me personally and for what He has enabled us to achieve, the President said.
