President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday confirmed the appointment of 12 new Permanent Secretaries in Abuja.

The president also confirmed Commissioners for the Federal Civil Service Commission and Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission.

The ceremony was at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, held virtually at the Council Chambers, Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The FEC meeting had in attendance the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr Boss Mustapha, the Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, the National Security Adviser (NSA), Major General Babagana Monguno (retd) and the Head of Service of the Federation, Mrs Yemi-Esan.

The names of the new commissioners for the Federal Civil Service Commission, and Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission are Mr Idahagbon Henry and Mr Usman Hassan respectively.

The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries and their states are Mallam Belgore Shuaib, Mr Mohammad Lomido, (Kwara); Mr Akinlade Oluwatoyin, (Kogi); Ms Ekpa Anthonia Akpabio (Cross River) ; Mr Alkali Bashir Nura, (Kano); Mr Ardo Babayo Kumo, (Gombe) and Ms Anyanwutaku Adaora Ifeoma (Anambra).

Others are Ms Udoh Moniloja Omokunmi (Oyo); Mr Hussaini Babangida (Jigawa) ; Mr Mohammed Aliyu Ganda (Sokoto); Mr Mahmuda Mamman (Yobe); Mr Meribole Emmanuel Chukwuemeka (Abia) and Mr Tarfa Yerima Peter (Adamawa).
