The team Smooth FC of the Budweiser came out victorious in a novelty match against its counterpart, the team King’s FC, held at the Mobolaji Sport Arena, Onikan, Lagos state on Saturday.

Former Chelsea and England defender, John Terry and former Real Madrid and Brazil left-back, Roberto Carlos locked horns in a novelty match tagged “Budweiser Game Of Kings”, organised by Budweiser, an International brewery company.

Though filled with action and thrilling performance, the match failed to produce an outright winner as both side failed to find the back of the next.

A penalty shootout was played to determine the winner of the game. Team Smooth FC captained by Roberto emerged winner, scoring four times to defeat team King FC, captained by Terry who only scored twice in the penalty shootout.

Following the victory, team Smooth FC was presented the medal and a Budweiser trophy.

The match also saw thrilling performance from Nigerians musicians like Teni, Patoranking, Mayorkun, Ycee among others.

Also present at the stadium to witness the match is the President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick.

Recall that Terry and Roberto arrived Murtala Muhammed International airport, Lagos, late Thursday, ahead of the scheduled novelty match.
