Social media influencer and activist, popularly known as VeryDarkMan has explained why he apologized to Human rights lawyer and activist, Mr Femi Falana, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria(SAN).

According to him, he apologized because of the damage the story might have done to the reputation of the senior lawyer and activist.

Recall that VeryDarkMan had alleged that the senior lawyer was reportedly contacted by Bobrisky through his son Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz to get the Nigeria Correctional Service to accord Bobrisky a VIP treatment when the latter was sentenced to jail for mutilation of Nigeria’s national currency earlier this year.

Speaking before the House of Representatives on Monday, September 30, 2024, VeryDarkMan said he believes that Falana was not privy to the alleged bribe saga in question.

“Apparently now, some people are taking advantage of what is happening now to cast aspersions on the integrity of Mr Falana. I’ll like to say here and now that I apologize to him. It’s so sad that his name was inside that audio. I couldn’t believe it as well. That’s the part that irritated me more which I said I refuse to believe that he is a party to something like that.”

It would be recalled that both Bobrisky and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC were conspicuously absent at the public Hearing initiated by the House of Representatives.
