Senate President Ahmad Lawan on Sunday said government “needs to have time” to implement the approved demands of the #EndSARS protesters.

Lawan spoke with journalists after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari alongside the leadership of the 9th National Assembly.

The New Diplomat earlier reported that Senator Lawan and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila were at the Aso Villa to meet with the President on implementing the demands of the protesters.endsars 2020

“Since the issues [raised by the protesters] have been accepted [by the government] the time has come for the protests to stop, government needs to have time to implement the demands of the protesters,” Lawan said in a video tweeted by the Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on New Media, Mr Bashir Ahmad.
