Youth groups under the auspices of the #NotTooYoungToRun have shutdown the National Assembly protesting the non-passage of a bill brought before lawmakers seeking a reduction in the age of candidates vying for elective positions in the country.

The youths in their hundreds were said to have blocked the entrance of the National Assembly preventing vehicular movement from inside and outside of the assembly complex.

Popular activists who joined in the protest include, Hamzat Lawal of CODE, Cynthia Mbamalu of YIAGA,Dr Otive Ibuzor, Aisha Yeseufu among many others.
