Ukraine on Sunday agreed to hold peace talks with Russia in Belarus, the Russian state media said, quoting officials in Moscow.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s office said the two sides would meet at an unspecified location on the Belarusian border and did not give a precise time for the meeting.
This comes after four days of heavy fighting between the two historic neighbours following the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, last Thursday.
About 150,000 persons have since fled Ukraine to neighbouring countries, with half of the refugees fleeing to Poland.
