The Senate has confirmed Godwin Emefiele as Governor of the Central Bank Of Nigeria.
The confirmation is coming after President Muhammadu Buhari’s anti-corruption administration ignored numerous corruption allegations leveled against him, most recently documented in an audio tape with the apex bank confirmed as authentic.
Emefiele was screened yesterday by the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions sequel to a request put forward by President Buhari asking the Senate to confirm Emefiele for a second term of five years.
