President Muhammadu Buhari has given his full endorsement to the All Progressives Congress (APC), governorship candidate in Edo State, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
Ize-Iyamu was led to the presidential Villa on Friday, by the Caretaker Committee of the ruling party and Governor of Yobe State, Mai Malla Buni, alongside Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje and Kebbi state Governor, Atiku Bagudu.
Buni, who briefed journalists on the meeting after presenting the APC candidate to the President said Buhari, while giving his blessings, promises to fully back the Edo APC candidate as campaign peaks.

At the briefing, Ize-Iyamu refuted claims that 14 members of the Edo State House of Assembly were at his residence in Benin Thursday, to impeach the speaker.
He said: “Let me debunk the statement that 17 members of the State House of Assembly sat in my sitting room, it is not true.”
