Michael Diden (aka Ejele) has won the PDP Delta South Senatorial primary with 176 votes defeating his closest opponent, Hon. Daniel Reyeneju, who scored 49 votes.

Ayodele Othihiwa polled 46 votes to place third while Kent Omatsone, former Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly scored 2 votes.

With the result, Hon. Diden who is the immediate past chairman of the State oil commission, DESOPADEC, becomes the PDP flagbearer for Delta South Senatorial election in, 2023.

Diden is a close confidant of the State Governor Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.

Similarly, another close political pal of Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa and former House of Reps member for Aniocha Federal Constituency, Hon. Ned Nwoko has won the PDP Senatorial primary for Delta North.
