The National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Uche Secondus, and former President Olusegun Obasanjo, held a meeting behind closed doors in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The meeting was ongoing as of the time of filing this report.

Secondus arrived Obasanjo’s Penthouse residence at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta at about 12:19pm.

The embattled PDP Chairman’s meeting with Obasanjo may not be unconnected with the upcoming PDP convention in October, where new leaders are expected to emerge.

The meeting also followed deluge of calls for Secondus resignation by party members, though the PDP Chairman had vowed he won’t resign his position until a new leader emerges at the party’s upcoming National Convention
