Following several days of delay, Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has signed the 2017 Appropriation bill into law, The New Diplomat can authoritatively report.

Osinbajo assented to the Budget around 4:42 p.m.

In a Twitter message on the handle of the Acting President’s Senior Special Assistant on -Media&Publicity, Laolu Akande described the action as a milestone.

“Ag President Osinbajo signs 2017 budget into law-it’s “an important milestone in our economic recovery & growth plan laid in April by President Buhari” he tweeted.

Recall that the budget was passed by the National Assembly some weeks back while President Muhammadu Buhari left Nigeria for the United Kingdom on 7th May to follow up on his medical consultation with his doctors.
