Manchester City etched their name in Premier League history by clinching the 2023/2024 title, an unprecedented fourth consecutive triumph following their 3-1 victory over West Ham United at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday evening.

Pep Guardiola’s men left no stone unturned in their quest for greatness, underlining their dominance with a commanding performance against West Ham.

The Citizens wasted no time in asserting their authority, with Phil Foden breaking the deadlock within the opening minute. The English prodigy doubled the lead in the 18th minute, bagging a well-deserved brace and propelling his side towards yet another Premier League crown.

The relentless City juggernaut rolled on, their football a mesmerizing blend of skill, determination, and an insatiable hunger for success. With this latest triumph, Guardiola and his charges have cemented their legacy as one of the greatest teams in English football history.

West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus provided a glimmer of hope in the second half, scoring a well-taken goal to reduce the deficit. However, City’s relentless pursuit of greatness was not to be denied, as Rodri added a third goal to seal the victory.

Sunday’s victory for City makes them the first team in the history of English top-flight football to win the title in four consecutive seasons, securing the league in 2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23, and 2023-24.

Also, it is Guardiola’s sixth Premier League title with Manchester City. He joins an elite group of managers with as many as six English top-flight titles, alongside Sir Alex Ferguson (13), George Ramsay (6), and Bob Paisley (6).

Additionally, City have extended their unbeaten streak to 35 matches in all competitions (W29 D6), setting a new record for the longest unbeaten run by a Premier League team. In the history of English top-flight football, the only team with a longer unbeaten run is Nottingham Forest, who achieved 40 consecutive matches unbeaten between March and November 1978.
