The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared Governor Godwin Obaseki as the winner of the Edo gubernatorial election, 2020.

INEC’s Returning Officer, Prof. Akpofure Rim-Rukeh, announced the total result of the election.

According to the collated results of the governorship election in 18 LGAs announced by Rim-Rukeh, on Sunday, Obaseki garnered 307,955 votes to defeat APC’s Ize-Iyamu, who polled 223,619 votes.

While the PDP won in 13 councils, APC’s Ize-Iyamu only grabbed five, including Oshiomhole’s Etsako West.
