The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed a date for the 2023 Presidential election in Nigeria.

Going by the statement of the Commission’s helmsman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu, the election is scheduled to hold on February 18, 2023.

Chairman of INEC, Prof Yakubu revealed this on Thursday, saying that  Nigeria is 855 days away from the 2023 general elections.

The INEC boss  made the disclosure while at the inauguration of the House of Representatives Committee on Review of the 1999 Constitution.

Prof Yakubu  appealed to  the National Assembly to work swiftly and  speedily  on the exercise, ahead of the polls.

According to him, the 2023 presidential election is scheduled to hold on February 18, 2023.
