The House Committee on public hearing has summoned the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, to appear and make presentations before it on Monday, July 2020.

The motion to summon Akpabio to the hearing was made by Hon. Waive Ejioroghene Francis representing Ughelli North/ Ughelli South/ Udu Federal constituency and seconded by his counterpart from Ethiope East/ Ethiope West, Hon. Ben.Roland Igbakpa.

Meanwhile the committee unanimously agreed that the notice of summons should be sent through electronic media to Senator Akpabio and others.

The committee also extended the summons to the Acting Managing Director of Interim Management Committee of the NDDC, Professor Daniel Kemebradikumo Pondei and the Managing Director of AAHR, a procurement company.
