The dreaded Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has reportedly claimed the life of an eminent corporate Nigerian titan, and  notable automobile businessman, Sir Willie Anumudu.Sir Anumudu  is one of the biggest corporate personalities in Nigeria’s automobile business, and chairman of Globe Motors .
Inside details  just reaching The New Diplomat  reveal  that the automobile  mogul sadly lost his fight against the dreaded covid-19 ailment. Curiously,  while the late Anumudu  was battling with health challenges, his wife, Nkiru, a Lagos socialite was still in London. She reportedly attended the 80th birthday party held in honour  of Justice George Oguntade, Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the UK  in London earlier this year.
Recall that there has been concerns about those who attended the birthday as two persons who  reportedly attended were said to have died of complications arising from the dreaded ailment. Former Ogun State Governor, and one of Nigeria’s most iconic veteran journalists, Chief Segun Osaba had confirmed the two persons death in a response to media inquiries earlier this year.
The news of Anumudu’s death, which was broken by an Igbo online forum, comes shortly after the death of Mallam Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari.
With this latest development, the COVID-19 death toll in the country  has risen again.
