…Confirms The New Diplomat’s Story

President Muhammadu Buhari has retained his position as the substantive minister of Petroleum Resources, while former Bayelsa State governor, Timipre Sylva was announced as the new minister of State for Petroleum Resources to work directly under the President.

President Buhari made the announcement Wednesday, while assigning portfolios to the newly appointed ministers during the swearing in ceremony held at the presidential villa, Abuja.

Silva’s appointment to the petroleum ministry tallies with The New Diplomat‘s predictions in a report, as the story had also accurately predicted that former Akwa Ibom state Governor, Godswill Akpabio will get Niger Delta ministry. It also predicted that the three bumper portfolios held by former Lagos governor, Babatunde Fashola, during Buhari’s first term will be cut down to size.
