A Federal High Court sitting in Benin City, the Edo State capital has fixed Thursday June 11 to adjudicate on the All Progressives Congress(APC) primaries scheduled to hold on June 22. The court also ruled for a stay of the status quo in the matter pending the determination of the case.
A set of persons believed to be loyal to one of the two major warring interest groups in the State had filed an injunction seeking to restrain the All Progressives Congress(APC) and its national chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole from conducting any primary election in Edo State pending the determination of the suit before it.
The party’s governorship primary in the state has been scheduled for June 22 to determine its candidate for the September election.
