President Muhammadu has been officially sworn in to continue in the saddle as President of the federal republic of Nigeria for another four years.

The oath of office was administered on him by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammed.

After President Olusegun Obasanjo, he is the second democratically elected Nigerian President to win a second term in office, following Nigeria’s return to democracy in 1999.

Earlier, Professor Yemi Osinbajo already took oath of office to continue in  his position as Vice President of Nigeria.
