President Muhammadu Buhari is back in Nigerian Capital, Abuja after spending 18 days in London, United Kingdom.

Buhari touched down at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport in Abuja at about 18:15 pm, Friday.

The President had left Nigeria for United Kingdom on July 26 to participate in the Global Education Summit on Financing Global Partnership for Education (GPE) 2021-2025, after which he sought the attention of his doctors for a routine medical check-up.

Buhari arrived in Nigeria less than 24 hours after pictures of him and a two-time Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in London, surfaced Thursday, as earlier reported by The New Diplomat.

Earlier, the Sector Commanders and Divisional Police Officers at the Federal Capital Territory command were directed to adequately mobilise their men to manage traffic inward Abuja.

“Mr President will be arriving Abuja from his trip outside the country tomorrow (Friday), the 12/08/2021 by 1700hrs.

“Compol (Commissioner of Police) directs all Sector Commanders and DPOs to deploy adequately inward Abuja. Time in position, 1530hrs,” the police had said in an alert message.
