Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday raised fresh hope that President Muhammadu Buhari who has been on medical vacation in a London hospital was recuperating  faster and will return to Nigeria very soon, an assurance which further confirms The New Diplomat‘s earlier reports on the President’s health condition.

He said this while speaking with state house correspondents in Abuja hours after his return from London.

Though, Osinbajo refused to give a deadline when asked to say exactly when the President will be back, but he raised hope that Buhari will be back sooner than expected.

“No no. Deadlines aren’t a very good thing but as I said he is recuperating fast we expecting him very shortly. Much sooner perhaps than you will expect.”

Earlier in the day, The New Diplomat reports the meeting became necessary to proffer way forward on various issues threatening to shut down the government at the centre, as well as reassure Nigerians on the President’s safe return to the country soon, as revealed by a top source at the presidency.
