One helicopter belonging to Niger Republic has been allegedly gunned down by suspected Boko Haram insurgents.

It was reported that five passengers on board the helicopter died in the incident that occurred on Tuesday.boko haram Helicopter

The helicopter was reportedly hovering around Bama, a theater of military operations and major town in Borno when it was shot down by the Boko haram insurgents.

However, the Nigerian Airforce later reacted to debunk the widely reported news. The force said no Helicopter was shot down in Borno on Tuesday.
