Senator Shehu Sani, a party chieftain in the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) founded by the deceased, confirmed the death, Wednesday.

He was elected Governor of Kaduna during the Second Republic, holding the office from October 1979 until he was impeached on 23 June, 1981.
