The Port Harcourt home of Dr. Joi Nunieh, former Managing Director of the Interim Management Committee of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is currently under siege as armed security men stormed her residence early morning.
Nuinieh who spoke on an Arise TV programme monitored by The New Diplomat to confirm the development said the security operatives had laid siege to her residence as early as 4:am Thursday.

Before the siege, Nunieh was preparing to appear before the Senate Committee probing the NDDC on Thursday.

She had made a flurry of revelations on the ongoing probe of the NDDC.
Also, Nunieh recently accused the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, of sexual harassment.

However, Akpabio has dismissed allegations from her.
