Outspoken pastor, Tunde Bakare of the Latter Rain Assembly, Lagos has lost his mother to the cold hands of death, The New Diplomat can authoritatively say.

Bakare’s mom, Madam Abigail Eebudola Bakare passed on yesterday (Saturday, May 5) afternoon at the age of 108.

The aged mother, a flourishing trader and producer of quality African tie and dye fabrics popularly known as Adire (Abeokuta’s trademark good) is survived by her only son (Bakare), grandchildren and many relatives.

Mama Bakare was reputed to have had a profound influence on the life of the famous televangelist as documented in numerous anecdotes, tributes and testaments of Bakare in the past three decades of ministring the word on the pulpit as well as through television broadcasts.

On many occasions, the minister who has had a fulfilling career in law practice  before taking to full-time ministry had eulogized his mother as the pillar of his success from the cradle till date.
