Emergency workers have recovered the lifeless body of a yet-to-be identified man who jumped into Lagos lagoon Friday morning.

According to the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), theĀ  man jumped from the 3rd mainland bridge into the lagoon around unilag water-front.

Preliminary report from the scene revealed that the victim asked the driver to stop on the bridge to urinate and then jumped into the lagoon.

The officias of LASWA, Marine Police and local fishermen after searching through the waterways almost immediately recovered the body around the vicinity.

The body was taken to the LASWA jetty at Ebute Ero, where it was bagged and thereafter moved and handed to Adekunle Police Division for further investigation.

The General Manager Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) Mr. Adesina Tiamiyu said proper investigation is presently being carried out on the incident.
