Social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, on Monday appeared before the House of Representatives joint committee investigating corruption allegations leveled against officers of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigerian Correctional Service, respectively

Also present at the House of Representatives Hearing were representatives of the EFCC and the Nigerian Correctional Services, respectively.

However, crossdresser Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky, was notably absent.

Speaking during the session, Verydarkman the House of Representatives Committee members that he would not speak in the absence of Bobrisky, whom he said has decided to be absent for unsubstantiated reasons.

He stated: “Today I will not say anything because an invitation was given out to me and Bobrisky, but he is not here. I don’t see why I will be here and he will not, so I won’t say anything but my lawyer will.”

It would be recalled that lingering allegations emerged after an audio recording surfaced in the public domain in which Bobrisky, allegedly claimed that he bribed EFCC officials with N15 million to quash a money laundering case.

In the audio, Bobrisky purportedly claimed that he evaded a six-month jail term at the Kirikiri Prison in Lagos through arrangements by his godfather, which ensured he stayed in a lodge instead of the prison.

However, while reacting to the allegations , the crossdresser had vehemently denied saying such. Bobrisky also distanced himself from the audio, saying his voice was doctored with AI.
