Following the purported declaration of the All Progressives Congress, APC candidate in the ongoing Adamawa supplementary, Aisha Dahiru Binani, as Governor-elect, on Sunday, The Independent National Electoral Commision, INEC, has withdrawn the delegated powers assigned to the State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Barrister Hudu Yonusa Ari.

A statement by the INEC National Commissioner and Chairman, Information And Voters Education Committee, Barrister Festus Okoye, said Hudu has been directed to stay away from the Commision’s office in Adawama State forthwith.

According to Okoye, the administrative secretary has been directed to take over the affairs of the state office till Futher notice.

It would be recalled that Hudu, yesterday, wrongfully declared APC’s Binani, winner of the Adawama State gubernatorial election against the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, sitting governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
