The Bauchi State government has partnered entered into an agreement with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC)‎ Retail Limited to get a steady supply of petroleum products in the state.

Special Assistant to Bauchi State governor on Development Partners and NGOs, ‎Alhaji Mansur Manu Soro, disclosed this while speaking to journalists in Bauchi on Sunday.

He said that the agreement was entered into in order to get an increase in the volume of petroleum products being allocated to Bauchi State from the various loading points in Lagos, Calabar and other places.

 

According to him, “The General Manager of NNPC Retail has exchanged correspondence with my office at the behest of the governor. Under the partnership,‎ there are oil marketers of Bauchi State origin like Soro Nigeria Limited, AYM Shafa and AIB.‎ The government has promised to mobilise these people to send their trucks to Lagos, Portharcourt and Calabar where they will be getting the products.‎ While on the part of the NNPC, they have agreed to increase the volume of the products being allocated to Bauchi State”.
