It was learnt that the gunmen in large numbers, armed with machetes, daggers, and cutlasses, outnumbered and overpowered the security guards and invaded some houses in the estate.

According to a source, “they operated in the estate for about three hours and abducted some of the residents.”

The bandits were said to have gotten to the estate on 6th avenue behind Efab Queens, around 1 am, and left the place after 4 am.

However, confirming the incident was the spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, DSP Josephine Adeh, noting that the case was a robbery case, not kidnapping.

The spokesperson claimed that the police had already been mobilised to the scene to investigate the incident.
