A former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar and a two-term governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi both met in Adamawa State on Saturday.

The meeting comes amid preparations for the 2027 General elections.

The New Diplomat reports that Atiku and Obi contested against each other in the last presidential election which was won by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Before the 2023 general election, Atiku and Obi contested together in 2019 and were defeated by former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Meanwhile, despite their differences in the last election, the two political heavyweights have continued to meet each other.

On Saturday, Atiku, who took to his social media pages, shared a video of their latest meeting.

His caption reads: “It is breakfast time with my friend, #PeterObi, in the ‘land of beauty.”

The video featured the two leaders, alongside others, seated together at a dining table, ready to have their meal.
