Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, alongside former Senate President David Mark, former PDP National Chairman Prince Uche Secondus, and other prominent Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leaders, are currently in a high-stakes closed-door meeting at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja on Tuesday.

Present at the meeting are former governors Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto), Liyel Imoke (Cross River), Babangida Aliyu (Niger), Gabriel Suswam (Benue), and Sam Egwu (Ebonyi).

Other notable attendees included Senator Ben Obi, former PDP National Women Leader Josephine Anenih, former National Organising Secretary Senator Austin Akobundu, former National Publicity Secretary Kola Ologbondiyan, and former National Youth Leader Abdullahi Maibasira.

It was gathered that the discussions centered on whether to fully integrate into a new coalition platform or maintain PDP affiliations while forming an electoral alliance to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

This comes as opposition heavyweights joined forces to launch the All Democratic Alliance (ADA), a new political party aimed at challenging the APC in the 2027 general elections.
