The People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has arrived in London, United Kingdom for a scheduled meeting with the United Kingdom, UK government official on Tuesday.

Atiku made the disclosure in a post on his verified Twitter handle as he shared photos of his arrival at the International airport with the caption: “Touchdown in London, United Kingdom, where I will be having critical meetings that will build the necessary bridges in our quest to RECOVER Nigeria”. -AA

This development comes barely twenty-four hours after spokesperson and Director of Public Affairs, PDP Presidential Campaign Management Committee, Senator Dino Melaye, in a tweet on Sunday, reacted to online reports that his principal travelled to the UK on medical grounds.

He tweeted, “Disregard the lies of unrepentant liars. Atiku is 100% fit and in super form healthwise. The British Government invited the leading presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, just like they had invited Bola Tinubu and Peter Obi earlier.”

It would be recalled that Atiku’s health status had triggered controversies and concerns as reports emerged on Sunday suggesting he was receiving medical treatment in an undisclosed hospital in the United Kingdom (UK).
