Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 12 new cases of Coronavirus, with total number of cases in the country rising to 151.

According to NCDC, the new cases were discovered in Osun, Edo and in Ekiti States respectively.

Osun reported cases are particularly worrisome as the state quickly moved up the ladder from having 5 cases Tuesday to 14 as of Wednesday.

Much of the rise has been reportedly linked to returnees and indigenes of the Ejigbo, Osun state who returned en-masse from Coted’voire where they have been residing last week.

“Twelve new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria; 9 in Osun, 2 in Edo and 1 in Ekiti State As at 12:30 pm 1st April there are 151 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Nine have been discharged with two deaths,”NCDC confirmed in a tweet.”
