Arsenal are two victories away from clinching their first Premier League title in 20 years, having defeated a resilient Bournemouth side at the Emirates Stadium.

The hosts secured a 3-0 victory thanks to a Bukayo Saka penalty and second-half strikes from Leandro Trossard and Declan Rice.

Though Arsenal began the match on the front foot, they failed to hit the back of the net, with the players failing to test Bournemouth’s goalkeeper.

Having been well on top, it took until their 16th shot for Arsenal to break the deadlock as Saka converted from 12 yards after Kai Havertz had been fouled.

Second-half goals from Trossad and Rice ensured Arsenal took all three points and put pressure on Manchester City who has two games in hand, to play Wolves in the next few hours.

Arsenal’s destiny of the title remains out of their hands as reigning champions Manchester City have a game in hand.
