Master Oluwafemi Ositade, a 17-year-old Nigerian student from The Ambassadors College, Ota, Ogun State, has been offered full scholarships to prestigious Ivy League institutions such as Harvard, alongside top universities in Canada and Qatar.

These scholarships, totaling over $3.5 million, highlight his exceptional academic prowess as a member of the Class of 2023.
TheNewDiplomat gathered that Ositade’s remarkable achievement can be attributed to his outstanding performance on the SAT, where he attained a perfect score of 800/800 in Math and nearly perfect scores of 760/800 in Reading and Writing, complemented by his impressive college CGPA of 4.04/4.0.

With an impressive array of achievements and a consistent track record of excellence, Ositade garnered 14 scholarships from esteemed institutions, nine of which are comprehensive full-ride scholarships covering tuition, accommodation, allowances, and all other student expenses.

Ositade has received scholarship offers from Harvard University, Brown University, Duke University, University of Toronto Lester B. Pearson Scholarship, Wesleyan University, Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, University of Miami, Howard University, Stetson University, Fisk University, University of Toronto Mississauga Campus, University of Toronto St. George Campus, University of Toronto Scarborough Campus, and Drexel University.

His academic excellence transcends standardised tests, as evidenced by his outstanding performance in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), where he secured a score of 358, ranking as the second-best in Nigeria for the year 2023.

Furthermore, in the 2023 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), Ositade attained an outstanding achievement of eight A’s and one B2.

His excellence extends beyond academics, as he has represented his schools in numerous local and international competitions, garnering laurels for both himself and his institution.

Driven by a deep passion for Quantum Computing and Mathematics, Ositade is determined to pursue a degree in Computational Physics, aiming to make substantial contributions to his field of interest.

According to reports, Ositade acknowledges that his achievements wouldn’t have been possible without his determination and the preparatory efforts of his alma mater, The Ambassadors College, Ota, a Christian co-educational school.

It was gathered that the school’s structured academic programme, which integrates British and Nigerian curricula, plays a pivotal role in equipping students with the essential skills and knowledge to excel on both local and international stages.

Through specialised courses such as SAT, IELTS, and A-levels, the school ensures that students like Ositade not only attain outstanding academic results, but also position themselves for prestigious scholarships at Ivy League universities.

When Oluwafemi Ositade received the life-altering news of his acceptance to prestigious institutions such as Harvard, Brown, Duke, and other world-renowned universities, the 17-year-old was overwhelmed with profound joy and gratitude.
