A member of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon. Francis Waive has empowered some of his constituents with cars, motorcycles, and laptops among other items.
Waive who represents Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Federal constituency in the House of Representatives gave out the items at the weekend to some members of his constituency in fulfillment of his electoral promise to touch their lives.
In a statement made available to The New Diplomat, the Lawmaker said the empowerment program was designed to positively impact the lives of constituents as well as positions them for productive endeavours.

Part of the items given which were displayed; include 6 cars, 12 motor cycles and 12 sewing machines.
The joy of the recipients knew no bounds as they praised the lawmaker to high heavens.
In appreciation of the gifts, the members of the constituency said in the statement: “This giant step taken by the Rt Hon Francis Ejirohene Waive has proven to us that there has been a striking scarcity and relative void in the legislative affairs of Ughelli North/South and Udu at the Federal House of Representatives in recent past.

“He is like a Daniel that have come to judgement with leadership craftsmanship and sincerity to set a super-national standard at this level,by tasking every known leader in government that every means of governance requires a good and just leader to build structures with proven mandate to gain the needed confidence of the people.”
Hon Francis Waive is a priest and lawmaker of the 9th Assemby from the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Recall that during his declaration in 2018 to APC members, clergies, supporters and Christians from different denominations at Otu-Jeremi, Ughelli South Local Government Area, he promised that he was going to play an unusual style of politics as things would be done differently and that after his time at the House of Representative, the constituency would no longer have a representative in the green chamber who would see the job of lawmaking as a status symbol, economic benefits, political access and relevance.
