The All Progressives Congress (APC) has secured a resounding victory in the Lagos State local government elections held on July 12, 2025, clinching all 57 chairmanship seats across the state’s 20 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs).

The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) also confirmed that the APC won 375 out of 376 councillorship seats, with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) securing a single councillorship seat in Yaba LCDA.

The elections, conducted on Saturday, saw the APC re-enact its political dominance in Lagos State.

LASIEC Chairman, Justice Mobolanle Abidemi Okikiolu-Ighile (Rtd.), announced the results on Sunday.
