The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the release of a revised timetable and schedule of activities for its nationwide state congresses.

The state congresses have been scheduled to hold on October 16 and will allow members to elect party officials at the state level.

The National Secretary of the APC Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Sen. John Akpanudoedehe, made this disclosure in a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja.

Akpanudoedehe, in the statement noted that the APC is conducting the state congresses in line with the provisions of the Artice 11:A, sub-section (i-xiii), and Article 17(i) of the party’s constitution.

The statement also disclosed that purchase of forms for the State Congresses had commenced on Wednesday, September 15 and would end on Monday, October 11. The screening of the aspirants will follow suit on October 13 and 14.

He further added that the cost of nomination forms for the position of State Chairman is N100,000, while the deputy State Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer aspirants will pay N50,000.

“Aspirants for the position of Senatorial Chairmen are to purchase forms at N50,000; Senatorial Youth Leader N30,000 and other offices N30,000.

“Female and physically challenged aspirants are to pay 50 per cent of the prescribed fees for each position,” the statement added.

Akpanudoedehe also said the conduct of the State Congresses will hold on October 16 across the federation except Zamfara and Anambra States.
