Controversial politician and former member of the House of Representatives, Dr. Cairo Ojougboh has been booted out of the All Progressives Congress, APC over what the party described as his alleged involvement in anti party activities.

In his expulsion letter by the APC Ika South local government area Chairman, Hilary Fada Ibude stated that Ojougboh’s expulsion followed series of petitions, accusing him of allegedly indulging in anti party activities that posed as threat to the APC victory.

The letter reads in part: “On behalf of the All Progressives Congress, Ika South local government chapter, I, Hilary Fada Ibude, based on Petitions before me and the various recommendations from different levels of the party on anti party activities orchestrated by Honourable Cairo Ojougboh, I hereby officially announce and approve his expulsion from the APC with immediate effect.”

In one of the numerous petitions received, Dr Ojougboh was accused of secretly working for the Labour Party, LP presidential candidate, Peter Obi and the party’s Delta State governorship candidate, Mr. Kenneth Pela.

Dr Ojougboh who in a recent interview with a national television, blamed the APC defeat in Delta state at the just concluded Governorship election on the Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege

It would be recalled that Dr. Ojougboh defected from the PDP while Dr. Ahmed Ali was it’s National Chairman.
