The secretary of the National Convention Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu has resigned his appointment as the Secretary with immediate effect.

A statement by his Principal Secretary, Godson Amadikwa said the decision to resign from the committee was taken for personal reasons which are,  tailored towards blighting fraying nerves and to advance the progress of APC in Imo State.

The Senator is one of those fighting the Imo state governor over control of the APC structure in the state as a result of Okorocha’s decision to endorse his son inlaw for the governorship ticket in the state.

While thanking the National  Chairman and the NWC for the uncommon privilege given to him to serve within this period; the senator expressed aprecuation all who stood by him in this test of leadership.

The statement said the national chairman has accepted the resignation, while wishing the senator well in his legislative duties.
